I would like to sort my contacts by "First name, Last name" on the Soocial contacts page.

3Hi Siggi, thanks for the feedback. We'll look at doing that - hopefully we can do it in a way that doesn't clutter the interface. I think it's a feature that will live in your account settings. How does that sound?

I think this is paramount, it's a no-go on this service until I can sort my contacts in that way.
Also, why isn't there direct syncing with Android device's? I know Android can sync with gmail, but not everyone uses gmail...-

I agree this seems like it would be such a simple feature to implement. Without it the website is useless for anyone who does their sorting by First, Last. -

I'd like to just add my 2 cents towards getting first, last sorting. I really don't think of the folks I contact by their last names.

That is why we need to make a user setting so the user can decide. ;-)

Hi there, I am now a premium user so I really hope this issue will be addressed very soon as I don't see where the problem is given that most apps let you view your address book by first/last (well maybe just Outlook needs a little tweak).-

All my contacts (both in Gmail and MS Outlook) are stored in the Last name/First name format. However 'Soocial' treats the second part of a contact name as last name and sorts contacts accordingly. I believe it's a common problem, hence my suggestion for 'Soocial' is to add a tool to enable users change this setting individually as per their preferred contacts name format.

This would be a useful feature, I agree.
May I also add that there need to be some other additions to the web interface as well.
1) Adding a second line to the address to handle complex addresses or apartment numbers.
2) Allowing the Company to be sorted, in certain instances. Perhaps an option within each contact to specify sorting by name or company. For example, sometimes we deal with a company and the person we deal with is of secondary importance. -

2Is there any updates ? Is I think getting to 2yrs now. The basic contact settings of names can reside in settings. But there needs to be upfront actions for sorting in contacts view too. Not only names, but sort on other fields. I am also interested to see good contact management actions upfront. Like Show all, show contacts that are not in any group. Show contacts without phone, show without email, show without name, etc... These actions will help us correct those contacts and add information.
I am a designer, if you want i can send a concept screen to this thread. I have also a separate thread for better contact management. -

Ok Guys !!.. Here is a design i think will solve Sorting, Filtering, Viewing. You can even have the right plan collapsible for more contacts cards to view. My basic issue right now is how to find contacts without photos and add photos. Next is to find contacts without phone number and without email. The filtering will allow to view all or with criteria. The sorting will be on first name/last name, city, company, etc. The view can be vCards or line view.
I hope some day Soocial implement this. Its been 2yrs.

Bart- I need your help. I am syncing only three Group [sameer mobile, snehal mobile, myfamily] to iphone. You can see in the above image. But I keep finding out that some contacts are still not on my iphone as I had not dragged them to one of these groups. Seriously, is there a way to filter contacts that are not in any group. This way I can drag them to one of these groups.
